The Mountfield 827H compact lawn rider is a pleasure to use – take it from us, it really puts the fun back into gardening! Small enough to easily maneuver around your lawn and any garden objects, it even allows you to mow right up to the edges with a minimum of fuss and you won’t need a massive shed to store it in.
The key start technology ensures easy and reliable starts and the economical and efficient 224cc Mountfield series 5750 engine requires very little maintenance over its long life. Ideal for smaller, flat gardens of around 0.75 acres this is a great little ride on lawn mower at a modest price.
Featuring a hydrostatic transmission, this Mountfield 827H is remarkably easy to drive. It works in the same way as an automatic car and gear changes are extremely smooth and simple. You can select forward and reverse gears by simply pressing a pedal. The parking brake is a great feature and means you can stop your lawn rider without switching off the engine. With a maximum speed of 6.1km/h you can choose to set a steady pace or quickly power through your mowing – leaving you free to get on with other gardening chores, or to just grab a cuppa and a well earned break.
The Mountfield 827H has a 66cm working width cutter deck with manual blade engagement and offers you 6 cutting heights that range from 30mm to 80mm. Not really aimed at paddocks or orchards or bumpy ground but perfectly versatile for your back garden, even if your grass has got a bit too long or untidy.
The rear collector is easy to empty and has a 150 litre capacity and the great news is you can empty it from your driving seat. Simply reverse upto your compost heap, engage the lever and be back to work in no time at all.
At the end of the day if you need to clean the deck of any stuck on grass or dirt you can attach your hose to the handy quick connect washing link and use the force of the water to deep clean your cutting deck. Now it will be 100% ready to go for next time.
The Mountfield 827H has a mulching facility and if you choose to purchase the mulching plug (available separately) you can use this to mulch the grass, at which point it will be finely cut and returned to your lawn. Here it will act as a natural and rich fertilizer giving your lawn the best chance to be green and healthy, at no additional cost to you. It will wilt quickly and sometimes gardeners find this to be more favourable than the grass being left to rot on the compost heap. Also, if you are not having to empty the grass collector then you will be saving valuable time, effort and petrol.
